The Redondo Beach Art Group and Redondo Beach Mayor Mike Gin will host a special presentation of artwork by four local artists (Joan Alsworth Bacon, Karen Baughman, Suzi Dalmau and Mary Baldwin DeHaven) and a concert by world-renowned pianist, Deborah Aitken, on September 26, 2009. Karen is currently preparing for the annual Power of Art show and cultural celebration, put on by the Redondo Beach Art Group, to be held October 16 - 18, 2009.

Karen was appointed to the Public Art Commission for the City of Redondo Beach on March 10, 2009.

Karen's work was displayed in the juried show Through the Ages at the Beach Cities Health District , May 16 through July 12, 2009.
